Paul R. Hackerd, 61, of Fort Myers, Fla., died at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at his home. He had operated a food store in Fort Myers the past eight years. Mr. Hackerd was born Feb. 8, 1912, in Indiana, the son of Benjamin and Nellie Hackerd. He was married to Beulah Jarvis, who survives. Other survivors include a son, Paul Jr. of Tampa, Fla.; three step-sons, Richard Stevenson of New Richmond, David Stevenson of Vienna, Ga., and Donald Ewbank of Radonda Beach, Calif., four sisters, Mrs. Don Alexander and Mrs. Kenneth Siever of Muncie, Mrs. Dalton Mangis of Morocco, Ind., and Mrs. Robert Parkins of Silver Springs, Md., and seven grandchildren. Services for Mr. Hackerd will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Goodwin Funeral Home at Frankfort with the Rev. Gary Forbes officiating. Burial will be in Bunnell Cemetery at Frankfort. Friends may call at the funeral home between 4 and 9 p.m. Friday.
